What does AllGive do?
AllGive is committed to helping everyone give through our unique method of taking micro-donations. Many people feel overwhelmed or simply don’t believe they can make a substantial donation to their favorite charity. AllGive allows donors to make small daily donations that add up to impressive amounts over time. AllGive offers an ever expanding list of charities to donate to, advertises on behalf of those charities free of charge to the charities, collects money for the charities, and passes the money along to the charities.
How was AllGive started?
AllGive started as an idea back in 2015. The founders of AllGive had a dream to make a difference in the world by helping everyone to give to their fellow man, regardless of their own financial situation. After researching the best ways to go about this, going through a few logo and name changes, and countless meetings with non-profit leaders, AllGive was born.
What makes AllGive different from other charity websites?
AllGive is not only the simplest and easiest donation method available on the web, it is also a marketplace of choices for those interested in charitable giving. AllGive concentrates on making the entire process of giving as quick and painless as possible. From the intuitive site design, to our emphasis on small, daily donations, AllGive makes it possible for all to give.
Does AllGive make any money itself?
AllGive is a service provider and as such has certain overhead needs that must be met. AllGive charges a flat 3% convenience fee for all donations in addition to typical credit card fees.
How are charities chosen for placement on AllGive?
We cultivate new ideas from all over. If you’d like to see a charity posted to Allgive please let us know by using the “contact us” link at the bottom of the page.
How do I add a charity not listed?
If there is an organization that you would like to donate to, and don’t see it listed, click the contact us link at the bottom of the page and tell us about the charity. We’ll research it and let you know if it’s a good fit for AllGive. If so, we’ll e-mail you back and let you know that you can start giving!
How soon will my charity receive my money?
Your charity receives the money you have donated once per month, generally at the end of the month. So if you start giving on the 1st, your charity will receive all of your daily or weekly donations in about 30 days.
How do I cancel a recurring donation?
We understand that life happens, and you may need to pause or cancel a giving commitment at some point. To do this, navigate to your account settings page and follow the prompts there to cancel or pause a donation.
What is the minimum age to make a donation?
If you are 18 or older, and have a credit or debit card account in your name, you are able to start donating.
How do I change my account settings (password, username etc.)?
Our site does not require a password. Your email address is the only credential you’ll need to log in. If you log out of Allgive, simply go to our home page (link to Allgive.org) and click the Log In button. Enter your email address and we’ll send a secure link that will automatically log you back in.
What is the minimum donation amount?
The minimum donation amount is $3.
Can I contribute if I live outside of the United States?
Yes! At the moment we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, Diners Club, and bank drafts.
How much of my donation goes to my charity?
This is the most important question you can ask when giving to charity. We make every effort to pass along as much of your donation as possible to our charities. Each charity we work with has different requirements and therefore there is no set percentage given to all charities. If you would like specific details about your charity and how much of your donation will go to them, please let us know by clicking the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the page and we will respond to you as quickly as possible.
Is my banking information safe?
AllGive payment processing uses the most current bank-level security to make sure your information is kept as safe as possible. Your security is priority number one.
What is a “featured charity”?
Occasionally charities may wish to be highlighted as a “featured charity” and will appear at the top of the AllGive homepage. They are just like all the other charities on the site but in order to highlight them, special information may be added to spotlight what they are doing. Keeping abreast of our “featured charities’ is a great way to learn about new charities or find out things you didn’t even know about some of your old favorites.
Will my donation be tax-deductible?
As long as your charity has 501 (c) status, your donation is tax deductible. For more information, use the “contact us” link at the bottom of the page.
How do I update my credit card or banking information?
To update credit card or banking information, sign into Allgive and navigate to the My Portfolio screen. Under “Manage Your Contributions”, you can change the payment method for individual charities. Alternatively, you can go to “Payment Settings”, and click “Show Details.” On the left side, under you name and billing address, just click on “Edit Information.”
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept bank draft, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club.
